Starfield’s newest addition to the game, the land vehicle REV-8, is making headlines throughout the community. The REV-8 came recently after Starfield’s Gamescom livestream teaser about the upcoming Shattered Space DLC.
Along with several gameplay, UI, performance, and graphics updates, players can now roam around on almost any planet’s surface with the land vehicle. What Is the REV-8 and How to Get It?
The REV-8 is a purchasable 4-wheeler off-road vehicle in Starfield, added to the latest update. It allows for a much more enhanced exploration experience, as players can easily traverse various surfaces and quickly visit planet POIs. It is also equipped with a horizontal and vertical boost that allows for farther jumps over craters and different terrains.
Getting the REV-8 is fairly straightforward. Visit your nearest ship technician in any city, such as New Atlantis, Akila, and Neon. From there, you will have the option to purchase the vehicle.
Purchasing the vehicle costs 25,000 credits, a fairly hefty amount in exchange for an upgraded means of exploration. Like spaceships, the REV-8 will be added to your vehicle list once it is purchased.
Once you have the REV-8, you can customize it and change its colors. Then, the new vehicle is ready to go.
The REV-8 is made for interstellar off-road driving, which means that this shiny new rover can jump, shoot lasers, and boost over huge craters. Pressing Y while driving makes the REV-8 jump, and pressing the RB or left stick button initiates the boost. As with any vehicle, the REV-8 comes with headlights, which can be turned on by holding the LB button. The RT button fires the laser mounted on the vehicle.

Be careful when driving the REV-8 near cities, as hitting any unsuspecting civilians will cause the respective faction to become hostile, and you will incur bounties. Don’t worry about quickly taking off on your ship, though, as the REV-8 will always spawn beside you whenever you exit your spaceship.
