On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong became the very first man to step foot on the moon. This monumental feat for mankind birthed a new generation of space fans, both young and old, and becoming an astronaut was the dream of every 90s kid. 54 years later, Bethesda released their very own space exploration game, Starfield, which was well-received by many. For sci-fi and astronomy fans, Starfield is the game of their dreams.
From piloting oneās ship and exploring various star systems to wearing amazing spacesuits and investigating extra-terrestrial anomalies, Starfield is the very game that every person who witnessed the Apollo 11 landing wanted. Now, to commemorate its 55th anniversary, a Starfield fan has re-enacted and recreated the moon landing in-game and showcased fantastic photos.
Originally posted on Reddit by user u/SD_One shared an image of them standing on the gameās Apollo 11 landing site. This location and landing zone can be unlocked by reading the book "Sir Livingstone's Second Journal" found in Matteoās room in The Lodge. Once unlocked, the player can now land on the exact landing site by visiting the Earthās moon Luna in the Sol system.

Many players celebrated the anniversary with u/SD_One, some of them citing what Neil Armstrong said, āOne small step for man, one giant leap for mankindā. Some also shared their own photos in the thread, while others mentioned that they built an outpost nearby so they could always visit the landing site. Several players also reminisced about the moment when they witnessed the actual landing on TV.
Starfield slowly becoming the best space exploration RPG out there with fantastic mods and upcoming content. Todd Howard shared in an interview that Bethesda will continue to create annual story expansions for the game. The next story expansion will be announced right after Shattered Spaceās release.
