Starfieldā€™s Shattered Space Is Coming Soon, but Will It Make Exploration Better?

Starfieldā€™s Shattered Space is coming soon, and with certain game features, such as land vehicles, confirmed by Todd Howard in a recent interview, players are speculating how this will change exploration in Bethesdaā€™s space RPG.

Traveling to different places of interest or POIs will be easier, which can drastically change the gaming experience in terms of exploration. Players now discuss how exploration will change once the latest update for Starfield releases.

Originally posted on Reddit by user u/Devoid_of_Diggity15, they asked the community what exploration changes they hope to see in Starfield next. They speculated that different food items will now have different durations, just like the Starfield Survival Sandwich mod. They also think suit resistances can be upgraded and replenished using in-game resources.

Many players also shared their speculations, with some mentioning the addition of extreme weather conditions and landscapes. Vast canyons, deep ravines, typhoons, and tsunamis are a few of their examples.

Another player also shared that they are looking forward to deep-sea exploration, given that certain places like Neon and many others seem to have the initial framework for planned deep-sea content.

Several others pointed out that they want to be able to spacewalk and explore more in space. StarSim, a DLC-sized mod, aims to add more space activities by overhauling the gameā€™s mining mechanic.

During a recent interview with MrMattyPlays, Todd Howard confirmed that Bethesda Games Studios is working on new content for Starfield. An annual story expansion is in the works, and these expansions will utilize the gameā€™s planets more, allowing for better storytelling and exploration.
