After sinking in a couple of hundred hours and finishing the main quests in Starfield, players are left with nothing to do except wait for the upcoming Shattered Space DLC, a highly anticipated expansion that promises to introduce new worlds, characters, and quests.

Some players move on to other Bethesda games like Fallout 76; however, other players, like NexusMods modder Aurelianis, have literally taken their love for the game into a whole new universe.

Aurelianis has created the Choose Your Variant Universe mod, which allows you to choose your next NG+ alternate beginnings. Strikingly similar but uniquely different from Skyrimā€™s Live Another Life mod, Choose Your Variant Universe offers different variant universes with interesting twists, making your Starfiled NG+ run much more exciting.

Fancy having Vasco as the only survivor in the Constellation, or curious to see what the evil variant of Dusty does to the organization? Choose Your Variant Universe lets you experience these unique alternative beginnings on NG+.

Running and installing the mod is a straightforward process. Here's how:

  • First, download the mod from NexusMods.
  • Locate your Starfield game folder and open the Plugins folder.
  • Copy the mod file into this folder.
  • Finally, run the game.

Once you load up a new NG+, you'll be prompted to choose your variant universe.

It is important to note that the mod modifies a vanilla script and can only be used for Starfield version 1.11.36.0 or later.

Bethesda games have always been the subject of wonderfully created mods. Skyrim is currently set to have a new mod called Lordbound DLC, and the Skyrim treatment for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is also well underway.

It is no surprise that Starfield is getting the same mod treatment from the fans, and players can expect to see more of these creations once Bethesda releases news about the game in the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase.

Whether you fancy adding 100 mods to Starfield and turning it into a Mandalorian shooter or just want to relax on a beachfront out in the skies, feel free to stay updated with the latest news and announcements here in Starfield Portal.
