The game design for Starfield is a beautiful paradox if players just take the time to sit back and think about it. None of the humans in the game know what it is like to live on Earth, although some of its architecture and technology survive as decorative pieces.
However, the humans who control the main character come from our time and are intimately familiar with life on Earth.
It’s like we’ve become Starborn ourselves, crossing over to a different time with all the knowledge that we have of the past that we can use in the new timeline.
In any case, this nostalgia for our home planet is what drives many players to try and build structures that are reminiscent of the now-destroyed Earth in Starfield.
One of these players is the Redditor Tanistor, who recently posted an update on his rustic outpost on the social media forum.
Now, the most striking feature of Tanistor’s outpost is the rustic login cabin that he has built in the middle of his compound. The components of this build is not available from the base inventory that the Outpost Builder makes available to the player, making this a modded Outpost.
The Redditor explains that he used several mods to come up with his creation. These mods include:
- Foundation Engineering
- Lived In Outposts
- Added Furniture and Deco Items
- B.A.S.E.
- TGs Players Home
- Your Image Goes Here
- Enhanced Outposts
Tanistor even reveals that he had created a separate outpost for his NPCs so that only he can climb up to the log cabin. Isn’t that neat?
Did you know that you can convert your outpost into a Trade Authority outpost as well? All you need to do is add the Trade Authority Kiosk, which will then allow you to sell any items you have on your ships and outposts, including contraband.
