Starfield’s New Game Plus mechanic differs from most games. Usually, New Game Plus saves lets players bring earned items and money to the new game once they finish the main campaign of a game.

In Starfield, however, multiple versions of the same universe exist, and going through Unity to trigger the New Game Plus requires players to leave everything they worked hard for in the previous universe. Only their Starborn Powers remain in New Game Plus.

Thanks to Wartortle's Take Items Through Unity mod, players can keep everything equipped when going through Unity.

Originally made by modder Wartortle and ported to Creations Club by modder thNighthawk, the Take Items Through Unity mod lets players bring in whatever they have on their person when going through Unity.

It includes armor, apparel, neuro amps, and equipped weapons. Armor parts such as helmets and boost packs are also kept when moving through the New Game Plus. Ammo and vanilla weapon mods attached to the equipped weapon will also be included, making everything easier during the early game. However, some vanilla weapon mods might be randomized as the player goes through Unity.

The mod's file size for Xbox is only 72 KB, which is pretty decent considering the help it provides for players who love taking their characters through Unity. It is also load order neutral, meaning that it can be positioned anywhere within the load order and will not have any compatibility issues with other mods.

This mod goes against what Bethesda intended for New Game Plus, so it will understandably disable achievements for Xbox players. However, some mods only tweak the visual aspect of the game, which Bethesda has yet to add the achievement-friendly tag.
