After collecting another Artifact in the No Sudden Moves main quest, you'll learn that The Starborn has attacked the Eye, and the Lodge might be next. You'll have to decide between defending your companions here or checking up on the ones attacked above. Whatever you choose, a sacrifice is necessary in Starfield's Main Mission 11: High Price To Pay.
Starfield High Price To Pay Walkthrough
Talk to Noel
The mission starts with Noel reporting that The Eye has been attacked by the Starborn.
Choose The Eye or The Lodge
The Starborn are after the Artifacts, and you'll now have to make the important decision of going to check on your companions at The Eye or defend the ones at The Lodge. This choice has significant consequences as one of your romanceable companions will die. Learn how The Eye or The Lodge choice affects this outcome.
Choosing The Eye
If you choose to go check up on The Eye, here is how things will play out.
Go to The Eye
You can go to The Eye and dock safely. Once there, you'll see quest markers for all your Companions there.
Find Everyone on The Eye
You have to go check up on all of them and see that they're back on their feet. Once you're done with that, you can return to The Lodge.
Go to The Lodge
Fast Travel back to The Lodge and enter. Upon entering, you'll see that The Hunter attacked The Lodge.
Find Everyone in The Lodge
Unfortunately, one of the companions defending it won't be able to make it. Noel has run away with the Artifacts to the secret escape in the basement.
Find Noel
Head down to the basement escape door and into The Well. Meet up with Noel here. Upon talking to her, The Hunter will show up and start attacking you.
Escape to Your Ship
The Hunter will summon clones of himself, and both of them are fairly high-level. Even if you defeat him, he'll reappear at multiple points through your escape. We suggest simply running away from him and saving your resources. Go through The Well up to the Spaceport and escape in your ship.
Initiate Take-off
Once you're in orbit, The Hunter will appear again in his starship, The Scorpius. He'll decide to let you go for now and give you the weapon, Unrestrained Vengeance.
Go to The Eye
Go back to The Eye and talk with Vladimir Sall to decide your next course of action.
Talk to Vladimir
Vladimir and Noel will decide that the Armillary needs to be built somewhere safe.
Build the Armillary On Your Ship or Outpost
You'll get the choice to build the Armillary in either your ship or on one of your Outposts. You can also choose to keep the Artifacts on your person. Wherever you decide to keep the Armillary, it will be under the threat of being attacked by the Starborn.
Talk to Matteo
Return to The Lodge and speak to Matteo. He will give his thoughts on what The Hunter said and suggest you talk to the Sanctum Universum about the word Unity.
Choosing The Lodge
If you choose to go check up on The Lodge, here is how things will play out. It's similar to the first option in how things ultimately play out.
Check on Walter
The Hunter will attack The Lodge, and you'll have to fight him as he suddenly appears out of nowhere and holds Walter Stroud hostage. Bring your best weapons to damage him quickly.
Escape To Your Ship
Once you've held him off and saved Walter, you'll have to escape through the basement tunnel, The Well and into the Spaceport, as before.
Go to The Eye
Head up to the Eye to escape The Hunter. Once more, he will appear to talk with you aboard his ship and give you the Unrestrained Vengeance.
Check on Everyone
Once you reach The Eye, you'll learn that one of your closest companions was unable to make it.
Talk to Noel
Speak to Noel and Vladimir about what is to be done with the Artifacts. They will suggest building it in a remote location.
Build the Armillary On Your Ship or Outpost
You'll get the choice to build the Armillary in either your ship or on one of your Outposts. You can also choose to keep the Artifacts on your person. Wherever you choose to keep the Armillary, it will be under the threat of being attacked by the Starborn.
Talk to Matteo
Return to The Lodge and speak to Matteo. He will give his thoughts on what The Hunter said and suggest you talk to the Sanctum Universum about the word Unity.
