Starfield fans will finally see more of the game’s most awaited DLC Shattered Space this coming Gamescom Livestream next week, August 21. Xbox announced its upcoming Gamescom livestream lineup via X and fans are thrilled to finally see Shattered Space in the limelight. With its story revolving around the Va'ruun, Shattered Space will take place on a planet called Va'ruun'kai, and many players are looking forward to new game features such as land vehicles.

Players have started to discuss the Gamescom livestream within the community, with many fans hoping that the land vehicle will be released on the same day. With how Bethesda has historically dropped updates before major showcases, there’s a huge possibility that land rovers and moon buggies will be all over the Settled Systems by the end of next week. Bethesda recently updated Starfield’s SteamDB change logs, and these activities highly indicate that the studio has prepared something for the players in advance.

While the DLC is already included for those who purchased the Premium Editions and Constellation Edition of the game, players who have the base game will need to buy the DLC. The price for the DLC is still unknown, and many players are wary that land vehicles will be locked through the paid DLC, as compared to what they expected as a free update similar to the recent quality-of-life and map improvements that Bethesda released last May. Some speculate that the base land vehicle will be free and skins or customization will be offered as a paid mod via the Creations Club.

Other notable games were also mentioned in the announcement, such as Diablo IV’s latest Vessel Of Hatred paid expansion and Fallout 76’s Milepost Zero update. Milepost Zero is rumored to have missions related to the Blue Ridge Caravan Company which will reward players customizable outposts similar to player houses in Skyrim.
