Many people post on X or Reddit to say they’re leaving Starfield after playing for only a hundred hours while complaining that there’s almost nothing else to do in the game. On the other side of the spectrum, however, players like Redditor Evalyn_West proudly reveal that they’re spending thousands of hours in the game.
There’s no doubt in any critic’s eyes that Starfield suffered a fall from grace after what could only be described as a phenomenal launch in September last year. In some critics’ eyes, the game is so broken that the only saving grace would either be a significant update or the Shattered Space DLC, which is due to roll out in the Fall.
Some players, however, are content to focus on what they find appealing in the game’s features, into which they pour all their time in-game. Such is the case of the Redditor Evalyn_West, who posted a thread on Reddit announcing that they’ve broken through the 2,000-hour milestone for Starfield.
According to Redditor, it took them less than nine months to achieve this breakthrough in Bethesda’s newest space exploration RPG. They also spent most of their time role-playing a spacefarer and surveying the game’s more than 1,000 celestial bodies in 120 star systems.
Evalyn_West also revealed that their objective is to complete the in-game Atlas, which is still a work in progress. They also revealed that they haven’t gotten around to experiencing the game’s other features, like shipbuilding and outpost creation, which they said will undoubtedly take much more of their time.
In other words, our Redditor is not yet done with 4 out of 9 Atlas volumes to be completed, 75 out of 120 star systems surveyed, and 1,006 out of 1,804 filled up!
People like this Redditor will find Starfield’s first land vehicle handy for their exploration missions when it comes out in the future. Despite being teased in an update video from Bethesda, there are still no details on the vehicle’s release date.
