With the Xbox Games Showcase set to take the stage on Sunday, June 9, Starfield players are keen to know more about the upcoming Shattered Space DLC. While Bethesda hasn’t confirmed any details about the DLC to be announced during the showcase, many players expect that more information about the DLC will be announced, one way or another.

Originally posted on Reddit by user u/iliketires65, they mention that they look forward to the DLC and hope it will be similar to The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles DLC in size and features. Fellow Starfield fans also echo this sentiment on the thread and are anticipating the possible addition of new guns, vehicles, quests, and other quality-of-life improvements.

While this may be the consensus of the thread, Bethesda hasn’t officially announced anything related to the DLC regarding the showcase. So far, the DLC is expected to be released later this year, but the game studio has made no announcements about whether more details will be announced during the showcase.

According to some fans, while there have yet to be any official announcements, it is doubtful that Bethesda will pass on this opportunity to market the DLC. Should the studio move the DLC announcement to a later date, they will have less time to do a bigger and better marketing campaign for Shattered Space.

Whether there will be Starfield news on June 9, high expectations still await for Starfield’s first DLC. Regardless of the announcement, the modding community continues to provide excellent support mods to improve the gaming experience as the player base awaits the DLC release.

In other related news, a new Doom game will be announced in the upcoming showcase. Details include a medieval setting, which may see players going through Doom Slayer’s prequel. Fallout and Fortnite are also collaborating for this season’s battle pass for the battle royale. Get new items and costumes, such as the iconic T-60 power armor, and turn the battlefield into an apocalyptic wasteland.
