Aside from outpost building and surveying planets, Starfield’s shipbuilding mechanics are one of the main timesinks when playing Bethesda’s space exploration RPG.

Right after landing in New Atlantis, players will have access to shipbuilding only to discover that the game's vanilla version has limited ship parts choices.

Fortunately, Xbox players can now enjoy mods added on Creations Club, and the DarkStar Astrodynamics mod is here to make shipbuilding more fun and engaging.

Created by mod author WykkydGaming, the DarkStar Astrodynamics mod offers advanced shipbuilding features catering to casual players who have yet to try New Game Plus and veteran players who have had multiple New Game Plus saves.

The mod adds several features, such as the DarkStar Terminus, an advanced shipbuilder for player outposts, DarkStar ships, and a DarkStar Cloaking Device usable on any ship.

The mod is only 9.86 MB for Xbox, which is fairly small, but it adds many great features to shipbuilding.

WykkydGaming also has a dedicated website featuring all their created Starfield mods, complete with installation guides and lore on each modded gameplay feature, such as shipbuilding, companions, and crafting.

The DarkStar Astrodynamics has no load requirement, so adding to an existing load order is easy. Players who want to add this to their mods should be aware that adding mods without the achievement-friendly tag, such as this mod, will disable Xbox achievements for Starfield.
