Aside from fascinating quests and limitless exploration, Starfield still has much to offer. One of the main time-consuming activities many Starfield veterans do after 1,000 hours is carefully designing and decorating their ships and outposts.

More often than not, ship and outpost decorations are just for visuals. Thanks to this mod, almost every piece of furniture and decor is now functional and interactive.

The Betamax's Functional Decor mod made by mod author Betamax76 is roughly 600 KB in file size and adds numerous interactive furniture and decors for ships and outposts.

With almost 280 unique items to choose from, players from all over the Settled Systems will never have boring furniture displayed on their outposts and ships anymore.

Betamax’s Functional Decor mod adds a charming flair to outposts and ships, from kitchen items such as working stoves and sinks to bar stations serving drinks. Lounging around your ship while sipping a drink from the interactive bar station truly feels like a luxurious space traveller lifestyle.

The bathroom furniture category even has a washing machine cabinet to store all those nasty spacesuits you’ve been using when fighting off terrifying alien monsters.

The mod has no load order requirement, but uninstalling it requires deleting all items placed on outposts and ships to avoid compatibility issues. Players who love to collect achievements while having fancy decorations will have to forfeit Starfield’s Xbox achievement, as this mod disables achievements completely.

In other Starfield news, fans speculate about an upcoming update that could come within the next few weeks. Starfield’s SteamDB update history has had several updates over the past few days, indicating that an upcoming patch or update will soon come to the space exploration game.

Many players think this update will bring land vehicles to the game, but only time will tell whether Bethesda is ready to release the game feature.
