Starfield isn't even out yet, and listings for mods have already shown up on Nexus Mods. Many mods will be coming to Starfield, thanks to Bethesda's view on modding their games.
Mods for Skyrim have kept the game going for over a decade now; Starfield can expect to see just as much support. The various changes these mods can bring to your game can change the experience, even for those who have already finished the main quest multiple times.
Nexus Mods
Nexus mods are the go-to destination for PC gamers looking to mod their games. Founded 15 years ago in 2007, Nexus mods has now over 30 million registered users as of January 2022.
November 2022, they made a page specifically for Starfield mods. Here, players can log in and choose a variety of game-changing add-ons to spice up their game.
It has recently been noticed that Starfield already has ten listings for mods. Now, these aren't exactly serious as most are simply uploads of the Settled System anime and other Starfield videos like the Starfield Direct.
Three of the mods are original, although none are downloadable at present. One mod requests a Call of Duty Infinite Warfare mod; another is an image saying, "Please let me play," while the third is a photoshop of infrared glasses on a Starfield character.
These 'mods' may come to nothing but could indicate mods that will eventually be available to download. Cosmetics, like new wearable items, are almost a certainty. In contrast, new skins for in-game characters like Call of Duty Infinite Warfare are something that the talented community could make down the line.
