The Elder Scrolls Online is getting tons of new content courtesy of the latest update, Gold Road. One of these new content is the region of West Weald, which introduces three new locations—the Gold Road, the Colovian Highlands, and Dawnwood—to the world of Tamriel.
As the Gold Road chapter is still in the Public Testing phase, Bethesda and ZeniMax Studios are introducing West Weald early so players who have not participated in the public beta can still get to know the new region before the chapter’s launch next month.
According to a post on the game’s official website, West Weald houses mostly Imperials who fled the Cyrodiil war. After many years of quiet, the arrival of the lost Daedric Price Ithelia led to events called Mirrormoor Incursions, which suddenly brought hordes of Daedra to disrupt the long peace all over the region.
As if this were not enough, the area has also gained a third locale—a mysterious forest called Dawnwood that attracted a host of Wood Elves from Valenwood. While the Wood Elves are content to settle peacefully, the magical process that brought Dawnwood near the West Weald has spawned violent creatures called the Wildburn.
When the new The Elder Scrolls Online update launches in June, it will make available six new Delves, two new Public Dungeons, six World Bosses, and a new Trial to players who bought or pre-ordered.
There will also be new rewards for completing the new quests, including the Threads of War item that can inflict status changes on your opponents every time you hit them with a Light or Heavy attack.
If you complete the story quests and defeat all the Delves and Bosses, you can add a new mount to your team - the Wildburn Lynx!
If you haven’t pre-ordered Gold Road, now is the time to do so! You can receive the Welkyndstone Ruins Mount and Pet immediately on Day 1. In addition, you could also add the Karthstone Charger Mount if you scan a special code hidden in Mountain Dew bottles.
Gold Road becomes publicly available for PC and Mac on June 3. Xbox and PlayStation players can receive the new update on June 18.
