Modder Kinggath wasn’t joking when he said Starfield players only wanted a platform to build their own content and somehow tie that into the main story. Many examples of that mentality can be seen in people’s creations using the Outpost builder.
Our Outpost of the Week pick is a perfect manifestation of this. This build is the brainchild of Facebook user Kevin Anslow, who said he is trying to implement his own headcanon into this particular outpost aside from another one that’s big and “taking a while.”
Kevin is envisioning this outpost as a far-flung headquarters of a company that he calls “One-of-a-kind Devices.”
This enterprise specializes in creating unique gadgets and toys under the leadership of an eccentric Chief Executive Officer who finds the desert of this planet to be a “cognitively soothing” setting.
One of the distinctive features of this outpost is the unfinished pyramid, which also serves as the main hub of the complex. Kevin had stacked his habs together to form a pyramidal shape, with a staircase made of huge boxes arranged in a similar manner.
The interiors, however, are where the design really shined. What you see above is a masterpiece of in-game interior designing and real estate location scouting. This is the Client Meeting Room, located on the complex's left side.
Stuff like this is best viewed rather than discussed, and Kevin has uploaded a sizable gallery to the Facebook group Starfield Outpost Builders. You can check out his post here.
While you’re at it, check out this fully functional automated production facility by Facebook user Serge Gagnon. Serge plays on Game Pass on his Xbox One, so, believe it or not, this huge outpost did not use any mods!
