Starfield - How to Find Instigating Kraken

As you progress through Starfield, you'll find a variety of weapons that you can use to kill enemies and defend yourself in battle. But from the start, you won't have this option, and you'll need to look for an alternative to the basic pistol to gain an advantage. This is a good weapon and will be an excellent replacement for your pistol. It's easy to find, but most players don't pick it up because they run past its location. Below, we've shared the steps you need to take to get this gun.

How To Find Instigating Kraken in Starfield

Your starter pistol can undoubtedly be helpful in battle and will become much more powerful after a few modifications, but the Instigating Kraken is better. To find this rare weapon, you must visit the game's starting location, where you completed the tutorial. If you have just started your play-through, you may have yet to reach this point, so you will have an excellent opportunity to get this weapon.

Before the pirate attack, we recommend stocking up on the medical kit inside Barrett's ship. The next step is to fight off the enemy attacks and move through the location to the area opposite the Crimson Fleet ship that has just landed.

If you look around carefully, you will notice a small yellow storage box among the other large crates, and that's what you need. Approach it and interact with it, after which you can find the following items inside:

• Credits
• Instigating Kraken
• Ammo

Once you pick it up, you can equip it and use it immediately to continue repelling your enemies. The battle will be long, so make sure you don't waste ammo, as the gun's fire rate makes it disappear rapidly.

Instigating Kraken Not Found

If you searched for weapons at the specified location but didn't find them, don't worry. The gun should be somewhere nearby; it depends on RNG, which is why you didn't find it in the storage box mentioned above. Try to walk around the area again and inspect all the surrounding objects.

You should focus on finding similar storage boxes because it is likely that the Instigating Kraken will be there. Try to go back and go around Barrett's ship because there is also a storage box, often where the weapon is located.
