It’s been a busy quarter for Bethesda. It’s only been two months since the launch of its newest and biggest RPG, Starfield, yet so many things have happened in such a short period.
Starfield has seen a skyrocketing concurrent player count on Steam in the past two months. The game has surpassed its predecessor, Skyrim, in total player counts in 24 hours. Aside from that, the game only took three weeks after launch to hit the 10-million total player count.
Indeed, Starfield is due for some awards, so Bethesda is calling on its legions of fans to come together and nominate Starfield at the upcoming 2023 Steam Awards.
Bethesda made the call in its official X account on Friday, asking players to give a nomination for Starfield in the following categories:
- Game of the Year
- Outstanding Visual Style
- Best Soundtrack
- Outstanding Story Rich Game
“If you’re enjoying traversing the Settled Systems,” the post on X said. “You can nominate #Starfield in this year’s #SteamAwards!”
The nomination window is, unfortunately, very short. It will end tomorrow at 10 AM Pacific Standard Time. Steam will then proceed to votation, which will take place during the Winter Sale. The gaming platform will announce the winners on January 2 at 10 AM Pacific Standard Time.
To nominate, you must log in to your Steam Account and nominate at the Nomination Page.
Starfield recently won this year’s Golden Joystick Game of the Year award and is running for Best RPG in The Games Award or TGA. It is, however, not nominated for the same awards body’s Game of the Year category.
