It has been an interesting weekend for Elder Scrolls Online fans. We had our Global Reveal Event last weekend, which unveiled the next chapter for ESO - Gold Road, which is scheduled to drop in June but is already available for pre-order.

The Global Reveal also showed us the Elder Scrolls Online’s “predecessor” to the wildly embraced “Spellcasting” first encountered in the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Now referred to as Scribing, this new addition to the combat system lets you assign primary and secondary effects to any spells that you’ve equipped your character with.

However, that’s not all. Before Gold Road ever drops, ESO will also receive a new patch called Update 41, and a new dungeon DLC pack called The Scions of Ithelia.

Both of these will be released in March, and the Community Managers Gina Bruna and Jessica Folsom, together with Lead Encounter Designer Mike Finnigan, will go on air to discuss the upcoming new content on January 29.

The online stream will be made available for free on Bethesda’s official Twitch channel and will broadcast at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. Make sure your ESO and Twitch accounts are connected before you jump into the stream because you might just receive a free Ouroboros Crown Crate!

Aside from the upcoming updates, DLCs, and new chapters, the Elder Scrolls Online community is also gearing up for the big event that will take place the whole year around. This is the 10th anniversary of Elder Scrolls Online, which begins with a two-day event in The Netherlands in April.
