This new game comes from the same team that developed the highly popular 2015 mobile app Fallout Shelter, a resource management game derived from the lore and mechanics of the popular Fallout franchise.

According to Bethesda’s official X account, the game is a dynasty-building RPG where players can build their own castles, manage their rulers and population, and engage in political maneuvering.

In Castles, you'll build your own dynasty where every day in our world is a year in the game's world. Citizens are born, they die, rulers change, and can be betrayed,” the posting said.

For now, Elder Scrolls Castles is only available for Android and iOS devices that are geolocated in the Philippines. This is because the game is still in soft launch. Bethesda says that they will gradually roll out the game to other regions.

However, they’re still gathering feedback from players where the game has already been made available in preparation for the global launch.

Bethesda seems to be turning its attention to the Elder Scrolls franchise after successfully launching Starfield on September 6 last year. For starters, it released a surprise update for Skyrim on the first week of December that did away with the Creations Club and replaced it with the Creations Studio.

In the meantime, Bethesda continues to work on updates, the Shattered Space DLC, and the Creation Kit for Starfield, with roughly 250 people detailed to the task.
