Resolution is critical when you’re a gamer. With Starfield just five days before its official launch and early access already available, you’re probably asking yourself if the game will display correctly on your ultrawide TV screen.
You’ll be delighted to know that, yes, Starfield does support Ultrawide displays.
Ultrawide Starfield
According to Prima Games, the PC version of Starfield has default support for the Ultrawide resolution. The game itself will be in UHD, but it will revert to the standard 16:9 aspect ratio when loading certain parts of the game, like menus and the character creation screen.
Otherwise, when you’re exploring the rich world of the Starfield planets, you’re looking at nothing less than Ultrawide imagery. Starfield has default support for Ultrawide resolution. The best thing to do is to play on your PC if you want to enjoy Ultrawide resolution. A Game Pass subscription works even better; you can play on both Xbox and PC without losing progress.
There are plenty of things to look forward to this week and the next as Starfield moves closer to its release date on September 6. Bethesda has already made available many things, including the Chronomark Watch and the early access for Premium and Constellation users.
Just a few hours before early access became available, the Hacker Group RUNE claimed to have created a cracked version of Starfield. This cracked version is now available on torrent sites but is clocking a file size of 115GB.
Make sure to check out the Imagine Dragons song “Children in the Sky,” which was written specifically for Starfield.
