What does Targeting do?

• It improves the accuracy of your guns and ranged weapons when firing without aiming. It also marks nearby enemies.

What are the ranks for Targeting?

• Rank 1: Increased accuracy and range when shooting without aiming. Marks up to one enemy within 25m that damages you.
• Rank 2: Notably increased accuracy and range when shooting without aiming. Marks up to two enemies within 50m that damage you.
• Rank 3: Greatly increased accuracy and range when shooting without aiming. Marks up to three enemies within 75m that damage you.
• Rank 4: 10% chance to disarm targets hit when shooting without aiming. Marks up to four enemies within 100m that damage you.

Are there challenges to complete for this skill?

• Rank 1: Spend a total of 8 Skill Points in the Combat tree.
• Rank 2: Kill 50 enemies without aiming with a ranged weapon.
• Rank 3: Kill 125 enemies without aiming with a ranged weapon.
• Rank 4: Kill 250 enemies without aiming with a ranged weapon.

How to level Targeting quickly?

The best weapons for this challenge are those with good rate of fire and hip fire accuracy. These include the Equinox, Shotguns, and various other rifles.

We suggest going to a planet abundant with Fauna and quickly killing all the wildlife around you if you want to complete the rank-up challenges quickly. Fast travel and repeat the process on a planet with abundant Fauna.
