What if Fallout and Starfield Had a Love Child?

It’s amusing to imagine what would happen if Bethesda somehow merged two of its most popular franchises together. What if Bethesda created an intellectual property that combined several mechanics from the Fallout series with Starfield's newer premises and environments?

It would take a few years for Bethesda to get around to making that. We do, however, get to take a peek at Moon Mystery. Take a look at the official trailer below.

Based on the trailer, created to gather Kickstarter sponsors, the game is the story of Sam Walker, an astronaut on the Moon claiming to be fighting “The Others” to defend the galaxy and regain his life.

You can see scenes of first-person shooting glory, with Sam taking on two robots with an assault rifle and a space shotgun. You see scenes in the spacecraft cockpit, a feeling you’re no doubt familiar with now, thanks to your Starfield experience.

The game does have something Starfield does not have, for now - moon buggies!

There’s also a gameplay preview that was released almost simultaneously with the official trailer. You can check it out on YouTube.

Moon Mystery is still under development by Cosmoscouts. They plan to release it this year, but that date may be moved forward. All we can do as of this moment is to wait for another official announcement from the developer, or the publisher Freedom Games.

At the very least, we can look forward to the Fallout 4 mod: Fallout London, definitely dropping on April 23, 2024. This is a week after the release of Prime Video’s live-action series Fallout, and fans believe that Bethesda may be gearing up to release the Fallout 4 next-gen update around that time as well.
