Fresh from the successful release of its Fallout live-action TV show, Amazon is giving old and new players a chance to get a free copy of the Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition.
The Fallout franchise is on fire after Amazon premiered its live-action TV series based on Bethesda’s highly successful game franchise. New players are flocking to whatever Fallout game they can get their hands on, and Amazon’s Prime Gaming service is more than happy to accommodate them.
Open to all members of the Amazon Prime service, Prime Gaming is offering a free copy of Fallout 3's PC Game of the Year edition. The GOTY edition is the definitive version that first-time players should try since it includes all downloadable content (DLC) released after the base game.
To claim their free copy, Prime Gaming members should log in to their account to receive a Google code that allows them to download and install the game to their PC.
Fallout 3 will be available on Prime Gaming starting May 9. This is a limited-time offer, so log in to your account as soon as possible to take advantage of this free game and many others.
Fallout 3 was previously reported as one of the games in Bethesda’s release slate based on leaked documents from the Federal Trade Commission during the agency’s investigation into Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision/Blizzard/King.
However, this news more than likely indicates a future remake, although Xbox or Bethesda have not provided official details on this matter.
