Prime Video’s Fallout live-action series has launched. Some of you may have already finished the show and will want to dive back into the games that came before the highly successful adaptation of the hit game franchise by Bethesda Game Studios.
If you can wait a little longer, you might want to check out if there’s a copy of the Fallout Anthology containing all seven games released today, April 11!
In any case, here is the order of games we suggest you play to keep the hype for Fallout going even after you watch the show.
New Vegas
Fallout: New Vegas is a spin-off set just four years after the end of the story for Fallout 3.
Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, this game puts you in control of the Courier, who was hired to deliver a parcel to the city of Las Vegas that inexplicably survived the events of the Great War and soon found himself in the crosshairs of the conflict between the Legions of Caesar and the Enclave.
Fallout 4
Fallout 4 is the story of the Lone Survivor, the last Dweller in Vault 111, who awakens 210 years after the bombs dropped on the United States to find his kidnapped son. Explore the Wasteland of the Massachusetts Commonwealth, forge alliances with the various factions, and have a good old time purging the land of many threats.
Fallout 76
Fallout 76 explores the years immediately after the Great War ended when the first Vault Dwellers emerged from Vault 76 into the Appalachians. It’s a continuing live service game that recently rolled out its latest update, Atlantic City: America’s Playground.
Fallout 3
Set precisely two hundred years after the nuclear war, Fallout 3 thrusts the fate of the Lone Wanderer into your hands. The Lone Wanderer, recently exiled from Vault 103, is looking for clues to his father's fate - a quest that puts him right in the path of the worst that the Wasteland offers.
Of course, the anthology also includes Bethesda's 2015 mobile spin-off game, Fallout Shelter, the original two games from Interplay Entertainment, and Fallout Tactics, also from Interplay.
It’s the best time to become a Fallout fan! In addition to the show and the anthology, we'll have the Fallout London mod for Fallout 4 next week. We’re also still crossing our fingers that Bethesda will finally release the Fallout 4 next-gen update, which was delayed once more in December.
