Halloween is almost over, but that doesn’t stop the Starfield modders from creating spooky stuff for Bethesda’s biggest open-world RPG.
We’ve previously seen somebody make a mod that animates mannequins and turns them into stalkers in the spirit of Jason Vorhees or Leatherface. That was scary enough to spook the modder himself. How would you like to see Jason Vorhees himself or Freddy Krueger in Starfield for Halloween?
You need not use your imagination anymore. The Halloween Crowd is here, and ready to mingle with your character in Starfield.
As you can see from the image, the mod changes the NPC hats into classic costume masks bearing the faces of Jason, Freddy, Ghostface from the movie Scream, and Pumpkinhead. So, instead of the regular NPCs, who are creepy enough with their staring eyes, you get the kings of horror looking at you while roaming Neon or New Atlantis.
This mod also has a bonus - most NPCs are rendered in lower quality than their surroundings. The Halloween Crowd mod uses higher-quality renders. However, your FPS may take a minor hit, but it should be negligible.
Since it’s Halloween and scary is the name of the game, you might want to bring in the T-800 from the Terminator series as well. Don’t get your expectations too high, though - the T-800 retexture is far from perfect, but the modder says he’ll be able to improve the cyborg assassin further once the creation kit is released.
After Halloween, the month of November begins. This means it’s time for this year’s Games Week in Paris. This is the next destination of the Starfield x Tempur Dream Chair, a NASA-based gaming chair designed specifically for Starfield explorers.
