Starfield may not have bagged anything from the recently concluded The Games Awards, but itā€™s a vast ocean out there. After all, Starfield is just over three months old, released on September 6 this year.

In any case, Starfield is once again in the running for three more awards, this time from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. According to Bethesda Game Studiosā€™ official X account, it is nominated for three categories: New Intellectual Property, Technical Achievements, and Narrative.

Starfield joins 59 other games, including Baldurā€™s Gate 3, Marvelā€™s Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2, Final Fantasy XVI, and Diablo IV in the long list. These games will be subject to voting from appointed juries, except for the Best Game and British Game categories. These two categories are under the purview of BAFTA members.

If Starfield makes it to the final nominees list, it will be announced with the others on March 7, 2024. After that, BAFTA members will vote for the Best Game and British Game winners, while juries will handle the voting for the remaining categories.

During the BAFTA Games Awards events, winners will be announced and awarded on April 11, 2024.

The BAFTA Games Awards is the most prestigious awards body covering the video game industry. Its membership comprises gaming professionals from across the globe, each with extensive experience playing video games.

Although it did not win Game of the Year during TGA, Starfield is still considered Xbox Game of the Year during the Golden Joystick Awards.

Starfield launched on September 6 to the tune of 5 million players, 1 million of whom signed up for early access. It was quickly hacked and made publicly available just days later by the hacker group Rune.
