Bethesda has announced in its official X account that it is taking down the Creation Club starting November 29. This is to allow its developers to perform routine maintenance on the official modding tools available for its games, except for the latest, Starfield.
Thereās no need to worry about the mods youāve already downloaded for your Bethesda games. Theyāll continue to be available. However, you wonāt be able to download new mods or rearrange your load orders within the maintenance period.
If youāre a modder, you wonāt be able to upload any new content you make on the Creation Kit until maintenance is over.
In addition, Bethesda will also be temporarily taking down the Skyrim Mods website as well.
Creation Club maintenance usually precedes the addition of new content into the system. While the studio has not released any official statement, it could be possible that theyāll be working on adding Starfield to the Creation Club.
If so, the promised Creation Kit for Bethesdaās latest open-world RPG might arrive earlier than expected.
Todd Howard had previously stated that they want to release official modding support in a big way as the company appreciates modders and their work. In that interview, he said the Creation Kit might come out next year.
The Creation Kit will significantly enhance playersā experience on Starfield, allowing modders to create more fine-tuned mods for the game. Modders currently experience difficulties creating high-impact mods for Bethesdaās space romp as they find the code āhostileā to modifications.
Moreover, any patches and updates to Starfield mess up the load order, causing the game to break.
