Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim lets you become a Khajit, a Nord, or an Orc, among others, but nobody in Bethesda ever thought to allow players to turn into a werewolf, a vampire, or a werebear.
Thatās odd, considering Skyrim and its sister games are based on classic fantasy RPG tropes.
In any case, weāre fortunate that modders in Skyrim continue to give us free content, some doing so in seeming defiance of Bethesdaās new Games Creations Studio platform. Thanks to this new mod, you now have the option to become a werebear and prowl the forests and vistas of Skyrim.
This mod is called the Tales of Skyrim - Berserkyr. It primarily adds a new faction to your character creation menu, allowing you to select the āBerserkerā faction.
This faction has the exclusive ārightā to transform into a fearsome and formidable werebear reminiscent of Beorn and the Beornings in J.R.R. Tolkienās legendarium.
As a werebear, you can withstand more hits from your enemies and utilize cannibalization to regain lost health points in the field. Your character can also capitalize on two skill trees with four skills each - one for the human form and the other for their werebear versions.
Aside from introducing the Berserkers, the mod also adds new crafting ingredients for spells and armor. Youāre also given two exclusive quests from which you can gain further experience and loot.
Are you also looking forward to the upcoming Lordbound DLC for Skyrim? This expansive mod is currently being developed for the fifth installment in the Elder Scrolls series. When this comes out, weāll be able to play 40 new quests and explore 50 new dungeons.
