It’s October, and we’re celebrating Halloween for the entire month. Wouldn’t it be appropriate if you turned your Starfield experience into Halloween as well? That’s now possible because of a mod we’ve spotted at Nexus Mods.
The mod we’re talking about is the Halloween Special by SIQ. The SIQ is the acronym for the modder’s username, SnowIsQueer.
The Halloween Special mod introduces several aesthetic modifications that make the Starfield universe themed after this month’s spooky celebration. It re-textures Starborn armors and turns them into a Pumpkinhead set.
Plushies are made to be cute and appealing, but this mod turns that out by making them grotesque and scary. The mod also transforms your weapons into a bloody axe, and your cred sticks into blood-stained currency.

It’s a very busy time for modders, even though Bethesda has not yet released an official mod creation kit, which they say will only be available next year, 2024.
For instance, modder ToastedShoes has uploaded a mod to his Patreon website. This mod massively changes Starfield. It transforms the NPCs in the Mines prologue into Minecraft characters. It also converts all spaceships in the game into Thomas the Tank Engine and replaces Barrett with Captain Jack Sparrow from The Pirates of the Caribbean.
There’s also the amazing Slower Than Light mod, which bypasses ships’ default top speed and makes them capable of flying up to 100 times the speed of light. It also allows players to change gears to increase or decrease speed, like an automobile or a motorcycle.
